I am an African American female (28 years old) and have always struggled with my hair. I started taking vitamin supplements for my hair about 6 weeks ago (started with Biotin 2500 and Ultra Nourish Hair by GNC. ) Those products worked well but I included this because of all the great reviews. My hair is growing substantially but I don’t know if it’s the biotin, the Phyto or the Ultra Nourish Hair or the combination. I am very pleased with my results and would recommend this produt with the others if you want fast growing hair (about 1 1/2 to 2 inches per month). On a side note, the other products are less expensive so I might discontinue the use of the Phyto just to see if it makes a real difference and save money.

I’d purchase these over and over. They were easy to take, no upset stomach. My hair and nails have grown a lot since using these vitamins. I am very consistent with my vitamin intake. I finished a bottle in 2 months as directed. They do work.

This review is for the caplets, which are available. . . type “phytophanere” and it should come up.
I like these because they are easy to swallow; did not cause any stomach upset or acne and produced results in nails and hair. They smell similar to chocolate when the bottle is opened.
Purchased these awhile ago and was taking them regularly then stopped. Recently noticed I had another bottle, so started taking them again and quickly noticed fast nail growth, less cracking, splitting. Some nails were splitting when I first started using the product, so I filed and cut them. The nails grew back faster and healthier than normal. Less hair shedding, more length and no increased breakouts or acne and no upset stomach while taking these. Impressive the ingredients as listed on the box: wheat germ oil, carrot oil, rice bran oil, fish oil, borage seed il, brewer’s yeast, acerola, glycerin, gelatin, sun flower oil, hydrogentated soybean oil.
One reviewer mentioned the last ingredient as being a transfat. Note it is listed as the last ingredient, so my guess is that it is minimal.
**Note, the product is still available on Amazon.
I read a handful of reviews here about people seeing results after 1 month. After 6 weeks only my fingernails are slightly stronger. For some reason, I am unable to change the rating to one star after initially checking 2 stars.
Also, I have combination skin and have been breaking out horribly since starting these supplements. I’ve read the same complaint from others at another website. Perhaps its the oils in the supplements but expect pimples. I feel like I wasted $50.
gauging by the comments from otehrs i would like to try this, i would just like to knwo if a man can use this for thining hair?
thanks
